Librarians

Meet Lorna Naeve, our Library Director

I took over this position January 1, 2019. Previously I worked at the library part time, and I love being with all the books.   I  have lived  in Gilmore City since 2001, with my husband, Jay. Between us we have 5 wonderful children, and 9 grandchildren. I love to ride motorcycles, gardening, reading a good book and spend a lot of time with the grandchildren, and children, in that order. GCPL is where my happy place is. I am eager to make Gilmore City Public Library an information center for the community and fun and a friendly place to visit.

Meet Cindy Joens, our Library Assistant

Cindy Joens joined the Gilmore City Library in March 2019 as a part time assistant.  She and her husband of 43 years, Robert, moved to this area in 1991.  They have five sons, four daughters in laws and 11 grandchildren.  Her hobbies include reading, quilting, and gardening. She loves outdoor activities and most of all spending time with family.  She has greatly enjoyed getting to meet others in the community. Cindy does a lot of behind the scenes for us, she has been rearranging the books on the back wall, and she painted the whole library during COVID-19. She is a big asset to our library family.
